whatifwednesday What If Wednesday RETURNS Christmas

Ladies and gentlemen, I would like you to welcome back a long missed regular segment on my blog, “What If Wednesdays”.

Unfortunately due to Uni, holidays and a few other things I have not been able to do this for a while but SecludedHabitat.com is now back to it’s regular scheduled programming (go on… you are all jumping for joy now aren’t you?).

So in the spirit of the upcoming (well, pretty much the current) season of Christmas. I present to you this weeks question: “What if you woke up and suddenly found that you were an elf in Santa’s workshop?”

My Thoughts:

You know what… I would take the opportunity to ask Santa why he never got me any of the really big cool stuff when I was a kid. I was good… I behaved… I even wrote him letters… Just because I wanted to own my own fax machine (yea… go figure) and probably a host of other insane things when I was five doesn’t mean I could not have handled it.

MWAHAHA true story… Anyhoo thought I would go with something short, sweet, and that will hopefully instill a chuckle from you. Now, what are your thoughts, remember, tell us the first thing that comes to your mind.

Stuart ;)

Oh I would so ROCK being an elf in Santa’s workshop!

    Let’s see:
    - I’m already short
    - I’m crafty
    - I like being organised (which would help in the efficient nature of Santa’s workshop)
    - I’m a natural born leader (or so I’ve been told LOL)
    - I look good in red, green & white.
    - I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

    Great one Stuart!

Awesome, this segment is finally back! I just remembered it IS that time of the week and I’m glad I checked this site again, lol.

Back to the topic… If I were an elf I guess I’d be doing less work, always observing how which toy is done in what manner. Also, I’m gonna use the opportunity to make those gifts I asked but did not receive and yet I behaved so much for (I did, honest!).

Welcome back again Stuart, and hello there WIW’s!

I know one thing, my grandkids would be getting all of the things they ask for..well, maybe. When I was a kid, way back in the 1950’s, my grandpa played Santa Claus at Montgomery Ward in Olympia, WA. My parents took me there and had me sit on his lap. They were so scared I would blurt out, “Hi Grandpa!” I knew it was him though, and that it was good to go along with the charade. Kids are much smarter than we think. ;)

OOOh hehe I had no idea that this segment was so loved. ;)

Haha if anyone has any ideas for future topics please do let me know (as I am always open to ideas).

@Fragileheart – I really do wish I had photoshopping skills so that I could turn a photo of you into a cute widdle elf ;)

@Keithmaxx – Can I do the same to you MWAHAHAHA! (kidding). And I am sure you were always the silent but deadly kid, always looking like a little angel till everyone’s back was turned… Am I right?

@Carol – If kiddlywinks are really that smart we are all in for a lot of trouble… perhaps they are taking over the world while we sleep. HAHA. What one present would you have the most fun making too?

As a short person, my first thought is that I would want to be one tall elf! I also think the pointy ears would suit me, hehe.
But being such a clutz, I don’t know if I’d be allowed to make any toys :(

/imagines the factory floor in shambles if Erin was around.

Hehehe and I like ya just the height you are. ;)

  7. Trisha says:

I remember waking up one Christmas morning really early and wanting to sneak down to see what my christmas presents would be, but everytime i went down it looked like there was an adult sitting there,
so i went back to sleep and when i woke hours later and went to the loungeroom to open my presents, what i thought was a human was a big giant fluffy toy my mum had got made for me, it looked like Ossie Ostrich and was around a meter tall.

  8. Stuart says:

@Trisha – Hehe that is funny, and a great deterrent from you going and sneaking a look at your Christmas pressies.

(Also apologies for the delay in my reply, life has been hectic around Christmas this year).
