Cheeky’s Holiday - Away with Erin
Posted by: | CommentsHowdy all, I really do apologise for the delay in posting this one. As some of you will remember Cheeky (my monkey) went away on holiday a while back with Erin before he goes overseas (if you did not see this originally, take a look at “My Monkey has a favour to ask!“).
Well, I have a little letter here from Cheeky and some photos that he wanted to share with you. So please enjoy (he looks forward to hearing all your thoughts).
Letter from Cheeky:
Hi everyone, I’m back from my first adventure!
I went from Daddy’s house to Erin’s work, where she showed me around her office. She let me play on her computer and I helped her with her work. We even played a game of hide and seek! (I was much better at it thought). I got introduced to coffee, which was very yummy, and had lots of snacks.
I went home with Erin, who lives in Western Sydney (my Daddy calls it “whoop whoop”). I met her cat, who didn’t seem to like me much but at least I didn’t get attacked! Erin’s brother also showed me how to use his PlayStation and even taught me some soccer skills – though the ball we used was a little bit big for me.
On the weekend I got to ride on the train and even found some “monkey bars” to play on! Then we went out for lunch and saw a movie. They didn’t have any seats for monkeys, just people, so I sat on Erin’s shoulder to see.
I did get some weird looks from people, but I guess they aren’t too used to seeing monkeys around. Plus I was looking extra cute… hehe.
It was a little bit tiring because I’m not used to so much excitement, but I had lots of fun and am looking forward to my next adventure!
My monkey has a favour to ask…

So I was sitting here having a chat with one of my monkey’s today (Cheeky to be precise), and he was asking if I would permit him to go on a holiday for a while. You can imagine my surprise when Cheeky asked me this as I myself have not had a decent holiday in a while. However, who am I to stand in the way of the dreams of a monkey?
Cheeky is looking to get out of town for a while, and I am hoping there might be some bloggers out there around the world that might like to host him for a while and show him some local food, sights and other cultural niceties.
Cheeky likes to fly via international post and with me being the great Dad that I am will pay to get him to his first destination on his holiday, if the host family/blogger could help out by purchasing his “international post ticket” to his next destination or home (depending on the circumstances) that would be great.
Cheeky is also a monkey that likes to have a lot of fun, at the bottom of your post you will see him getting up to mischief at a pub here in Sydney so when Cheeky is around you always know that he will be a barrel of laughs. He is hoping to learn as much as he can about cultures outside of Australia and make lots of new friends on the way. Finally Cheeky is hoping that his host blogger will take lots of photos so that he can come back and write up a post on how he did on his adventure and what he learned and if he could have a little memento as a gift he would love that to help keep his memories of his adventures alive.
So if you are a blogger and would be interested in hosting Cheeky for a week or two and if you would like to “guest post” on my blog as Cheeky and tell us all of his latest adventure (this is not required, only if you want) please drop a comment here. Let me know what country you are from and what sort of things you would show Cheeky and teach him. I am also happy to answer any questions on behalf of Cheeky as he is off doing research on places he hopes to visit so please feel free to ask.

Three Wise Monkeys on Facebook

For the record it was not I who put this profile together (and hence I have no affiliation with it at all), however I have since found out that there is a rotating group of four people that are ‘taking care’ of the profile on a weekly basis…

Now, not only this… my monkey (pictured above… named Spankii) has decided to go on holidays. I arrived in at work last week to find the following letter addressed to me (click the photo to see the letter):
So my monkey has gone on holidays, I will try to keep you posted with his progress and he will be back in a month. *LOL* the things that mates get up to.

The Monkeys Ascend!

Another chapter of the Three Wise Monkeys today… A few weeks ago I got into work and found two of my three wise monkeys (Cheeky and Spanky) had ascended from the grave.

I have to say that it amuses me greatly that we can have so much fun in the office and that so many staff members are now getting in on the fun.

Three Wise Monkeys - Two Died :(

It has been a busy week. I am working on some new video tutorials that I thought might be fun to create and post for some interesting things that you can do with your computer. I am currently working on a tutorial for Ad-Aware as I thought tackling spyware would be a great place to start.
However in the mean time I wanted to show you all a couple of photos of what has happened to my three wise monkeys from work. For a little background, I have three small toy monkeys that sit on my desk, and lately my workmates have been assisting these monkeys on missions around the office so to speak. This is the next part in that saga (I apologise that there are no photos of the first couple of episodes).
