What if Wednesday - You wake up as a lab rat!
By
I have decided for this weeks What if Wednesday that i would change the parameters a little. I wanted to stir the pot and mix things up to keep you all on your toes. As a result this weeks What if Wednesday is somewhat more involved than normal so will require a little more of your time. Without further delay however, here is the question.
“What if you woke up one morning to find yourself transformed into a lab rat? You mysteriously become aware of the following facts. Your time as a lab rat will last only one day after which you will return to your normal (and rather boring) human form. You have been injected with an experimental syrum which the effects of are currently completely unknown (be creative). Finally in front of you are the objects displayed in each of the images below. You have the option of choosing all of the objects from a single photo to interact with, once you make your choice the other objects can not be used. So… what do you do?”

What’s Next
Now before you eagerly jump into the insanity that is my response, have a crack at it yourself first. That is assuming that you are going to respond and you wish to respond (which I really hope you will). I really want to see each person’s response without it being influenced by any other person’s response.
My Thoughts
I guess if I was to awake in this situation I would try to make the most of it. LOL with me being the crazy bugger that I am my first thought would be that I would pick the monkey. My reasons I hear you ask? The syrum they injected me with had the side effect of making me wanna dannnnce the day away. So I grab the monkey and start twirling around the table with the monkey in my arms. I become one dancing, jiiving and partying little animal.
*chuckles* go on, you know you wanna see a monkey doing the cha cha with a lab rat now don’t ya?

If I was to be a lab rat for the day, I would use the opportunity to eat as much cheese as possible!
The serum would make me incredibly smart and I’d come up with all of these brilliant theories and equations which I would promptly forget when I became human again. Being a super smart little rat, I’d choose the chess set and beat my captors in numerous games!

You do love your cheese don’t you Erin?
LOL and that so sounds like you. What thory or equation do you think you might aim to solve first?

I do!
Just for a start, I may try to find out exactly why coffee is so awesome (and maybe design a coffee IV drip), work on some ways to lose weight without exercise or dieting, perhaps find cures for some diseases, design a super jet so that it takes one hour rather than a day to fly from Aus to Europe and develop a way to remove the clutziness gene!

BWAHAHA shame you would forget it all when you became human again *grins*.

Well if i can still think as a human i would ….. paperclip the people who gave me the serum to the pool table….. get the pins and poke them while running up and down their bodies….. the remote control would be used to control the chess pieces that would attack the humans ….. and the watch so i know how much time i have to do all this…. How dare they turn me into a mouse and give me harmful serum shame on them. Sounds nasty i know, but i dont like animals being hurt
And hey with Erins idea how do you know she cant give these details to someone so they remember for her hehehehe

LOL nice answer Trisha. I love the mental image of paperclipping scientists to a pool table *hehe*.
As for Erin’s idea, I guess that is true *pouts*.

As much as it’s interesting to know, I have no idea what I would do if I were a rat.
My rat mind would probably look for food and shelter. As I have already said, smell the cheese, not the coffee.
But it’s never to late to find out, is it? You should write a post …how to turn into a lab rat in 10 easy steps

@Miss Tique - Interesting idea, that could be a rather funny post (and I have been wanting to try my hand at something with a bit of comedy behind it). I will keep that one up my sleeve.

I too chose the Monkey, but it was because of the playstation controller. I was hoping to learn to use my short arms to play video games!! haha

Trisha - good idea! The only problem would be that the person I told my brilliant ideas too would probably claim them as their own and take all the credit. Though, if that led to the coffee IV drip being made and extracting the clutz gene, I’d be a happy gal! lol

@Erin - You know I was considering getting rid of the duplicate, but I kinda like the irony of you talking about extracting the clutz gene *grins evily*.
@Fragile - I am still chuckling each time I read it hehe.

The mad scientists thought they could inject me with super intelligence boosters and give rats smarts that exceed human wit, but guess what…
I decided to lure those same scientists into a humongous maze and roll billiard balls to chase them. They have to find the exit before the balls catch up to them, or else…
*sinister laughter*

Okay, just remember that as the smartest rat alive I also made the balls grow huge like boulders, alright? ^_^

BWAHAHAHAHA @ keithmaxx oooh you do have a sinister mind. Remind me never to inject you with a super intelligence booster LOL.

I think the secret serum they injected with me was a high dose of caffeine to see if I can get to the end of the maze any faster. I picked the compass so I could navigate in there, figuring if this is all I did all day, then HECK YEAH the goal will be to eat as much cheese as possible so I don’t die of boredom. I just hope it’s good cheese!
