Drumming up some laughs!
By
Have you ever been at a moment in time where you seem to be the life of the party and drumming up the laughter all around… even though you are not intending to? I had one such event last night that I wanted to share with you all.
Normally I like to think of myself as a pretty social person and I usually try to give people a few laughs when I can, however last night everyone was getting laughs at my expense (not that I mind at all, on the contrary I enjoy it). Normally my darling Erin takes up this role, no matter what she does or what she says you can (or more often… I can) twist it around and make it hilarious.
Last night it was my turn to see what an evening like that could be, in that everything that I said or did, my friends found positively entertaining. Even when I just sat completely silent for about five minutes this raised some chuckles.
Having said that I really did play along with it, I enjoy seeing people laugh and I really enjoy helping them on the road to chuckle ‘o’ rama.
So I guess that I often do find myself playing the role of a sort of ‘Jester’, I find it rather fun and amusing, however last night I just could not seem to get out of that role LOL. Does anyone else seem to find themselves in a similar position? If not what things get you chuckling and laughing… what itches your funny bone?

I can find humor in almost anything. Laughter eases the mind… and crying create wrinkles.

Hi Alicia, it is so very true too often nowadays people are always in a rush and stressed and creating wrinkles for themselves.
Laughter is awesomeness in a bottle *hehe*.

We had a family get together on Saturday night and they’re usually times full of laughter. It’s good to be able to enjoy the company of adult siblings but from what I’ve heard, it can be a rare thing for many people.

Hi Rodney,
That is awesome to hear, it is always nice when you can get along better with siblings when you have all grown up and matured a bit. I did not realise this was not generally the case though.

Hehe, I had such an awesome night. Was good to be on the other side for a change!
As to what I find funny… My jokes are always hillarious (even though others may disagree) and I can laugh for ages at random thoughts that pop into my head… hehe.

Hmm Erin my darling I think you meant to say “My jokes are always hillarious (even though others *always* disagree) and I *regularly* laugh for ages at random thoughts that pop into my head…”

hehe I’ve definitely had those moments and I do love it! I’m not usually very funny - something about poor delivery or what not. But its always great when people find you funny!

LOL I guess that is true fragileheart… and delivery can be tough at times. I have tried to say a joke sometimes and it has just gone TERRRRRRIBLY. One of those dead silence moments *sigh*.
Oh well, at least I was on a roll this day.
