My monkey has a favour to ask…

cheeky My monkey has a favour to ask... So I was sitting here having a chat with one of my monkey’s today (Cheeky to be precise), and he was asking if I would permit him to go on a holiday for a while. You can imagine my surprise when Cheeky asked me this as I myself have not had a decent holiday in a while. However, who am I to stand in the way of the dreams of a monkey?

Cheeky is looking to get out of town for a while, and I am hoping there might be some bloggers out there around the world that might like to host him for a while and show him some local food, sights and other cultural niceties.

Cheeky likes to fly via international post and with me being the great Dad that I am will pay to get him to his first destination on his holiday, if the host family/blogger could help out by purchasing his “international post ticket” to his next destination or home (depending on the circumstances) that would be great.

Cheeky is also a monkey that likes to have a lot of fun, at the bottom of your post you will see him getting up to mischief at a pub here in Sydney so when Cheeky is around you always know that he will be a barrel of laughs. He is hoping to learn as much as he can about cultures outside of Australia and make lots of new friends on the way. Finally Cheeky is hoping that his host blogger will take lots of photos so that he can come back and write up a post on how he did on his adventure and what he learned and if he could have a little memento as a gift he would love that to help keep his memories of his adventures alive.

So if you are a blogger and would be interested in hosting Cheeky for a week or two and if you would like to “guest post” on my blog as Cheeky and tell us all of his latest adventure (this is not required, only if you want) please drop a comment here. Let me know what country you are from and what sort of things you would show Cheeky and teach him. I am also happy to answer any questions on behalf of Cheeky as he is off doing research on places he hopes to visit so please feel free to ask.

Stuart ;)

Cheeky looks pretty cute. And if he likes Heinz ketchup I could take him to the Heinz factory here in Pgh…but I’m afraid I would worry about Cheeky’s safety…My “monkeys” aka my children might be a bit rough on the poor guy.

Very neat idea though, hope Cheeky gets the holiday he deserves :)

    Hi Chelle,
Thanks so much for dropping by, he does love his Heinz ketchup and that would be such an awessssome visit. However he might be a little bit mischievous around your “little monkeys’ too.

LOL could you imagine all the fun you would have then ;)

Thank you for your well wishes I have passed them on to Cheeky and he said to say hello to you and your little monkeys.

Cheeky could come visit me and meet our dogs. :) He could even come to flyball practice and an agility trial. I’d keep him very safe! I am in Salt Lake City, Utah.

    Hi Cynthia,
I think we have our first stop on the holiday list for Cheeky, he will drop you an email shortly as he has said that he would love to see Salt Lake City.

Keep the offers coming everyone, as Cheeky has said he would love to do a few stops off around the world for his first holiday.

And Chris, no worries I really hope that this will be fixed in the very near future (within a few hours actually) just working out a few final issues with the modifications.

Hello everyone, *waves and blows you all kisses*

Daddy let me come online to say hello and to thank you all for your offers so far. Cynthia I cant wait to see your little doggies and get a look at SLC.

Venus Angell, I would absolutely LOVE to see NYC so I think I might make this my second stop off.

Please keep the offers coming (the longer away from Daddy to spread my monkey wings the better). And Daddy will contact you both shortly to work out the logistics.

What a cute idea. Maybe you could send him to Claire R. Pitt. She is currently hosting the bra named Olga, but I bet she would entertain the idea of Cheeky too. Claire’s (Entrecard enabled) blog is A Little Piece of Me and she lives in the UK.

And Dominique, thanks so much for saying that, LOL I do have three of these monkeys (do a search for “Three Wise Monkeys” on this blog and you will see a few stories).

Perhaps you could tell me more about your Jin?

Cheeky could always visit me and learn the joys of living in the Western suburbs of Sydney! We already get along well, so I think it would be fun for him. He could even commute to work with me! :)

    @Erin:
Hello Darling, hehe that is not a bad idea, you should have suggested this when you were over this afternoon.

Well until I get everything organised with Cheeky’s international hosts that might be a good idea.

Yeah, I should have thought of it then! I can be a bit slow, lol. How about I steal him from you this week then? Might be a good way to ease him into travelling and being away from you.

LOL I think he could handle that. I will have to pack his luggage for him.
