The joys of being on holiday!

One of the biggest joys of being on holiday is I get to choose what I do and when. LOL so I apologise for not doing an update yesterday… I was just toooooo tired to function.

The reason for this is that Tim took me out to play 9 holes on the golf course. This was a completely new experience for me. The weather was pretty good (the sun was not overly hot). It took me a little while to find (and then quickly loose) my golfing “mojo” so to speak. My favourite score of the day was 17 on a par 4 LOL… I kept bunny hopping the ball along the fairway and at one stage had a really good hit as far as distance goes… but as a vast downside the ball ended up in the adjoining fairway. ;)

While we were there we saw a heap of Kangaroos which was lovely to see some local wildlife. At one stage my ball ended up so close I pretty much had to go within 2 metres of a lot of them (that is where some of the great close up shots happened…. I figured I was already there may as well snap a couple of shots).

As always there are photos to be had, you can either see the Full Merimbula 2008 Gallery or to see from just the photos uploaded tonight you can see Page 7 of the Merimbula 2008 Gallery here.

Well, on the agenda for today is absolutely nothing, we have decided to have another day of just lazing around and doing whatever we want (probably watching movies and going for numerous swims in the pool LOL). So I guess there will not really be much to tell of today’s shenanigans.

Tomorrow we are heading home and we are taking a nice long trip stopping off to play putt-putt golf and see some cheese factories, so there should be plenty of photos and stories to be had when I next update (probably Saturday at this rate).

Well have fun all and I will see ya again soon.

Stuart ;)

When I read about the heap of kangaroos you saw, I wondered what the collective term (noun) for those big hopping buggers was.

Surfing around, it seems ‘mob’ is the favorite although court and troop also popped up.

Seems to me there should be a better one, but I can’t think of it. From my time on Oz, I remember how much genuine distain the poor roos generated with many Australians.

    Heya all,
Thanks for visiting and apologies for my late reply (see my latest post for why hehe).

Ken that is really interesting to hear, something I had never really thought about to be honest.

Out of curiosity what would be the collective term for a group of geeks all grouping together lol? (serious question, I am a geek, I am sure you could make something up).

And for the record… I love the taste of Kangaroos *grins* (yes we really do eat them, quite a lovely meat too).
